In addition to the Pap test, you can run a multitude of tests directly from the ThinPrep specimen vial. These additional tests include HPV testing (including genotyping), the HPV-4C DNA Damage test, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomonas and Herpes testing (HSV 1&2), as well as various molecular panels which include fungal, bacterial vaginal infection and sexually transmitted infection panels. At PathAdvantage, we keep every ThinPrep vial for a period of 6 weeks so if during that period you need to add tests for a patient, just give us a call and we can give you a result within 24 hours. All of the tests listed above can be added during the 6 week period.
