Linh Dang was born in Buffalo, although she spent the majority of her life in St Louis, Missouri. Part of the accelerated 6 year combined B.A./M.D. program, she graduated with a degree in liberal arts and medicine from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine in 2006. Pathology residency led her to the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Dr. Dang is a mother of two girls; when time permits, she likes to read (admits to being a science fiction and suspense novel addict) and loves to eat out with her husband.
